This book is authored by the famous Lindner Brothers and friends. This is by far the most incredible and informative fishing book I have ever read. It discusses, in depth, all ten fishing periods for Walleye.
For those of you who are wondering what the ten Walleye Periods are, I will give you a sneak peek:
Prespawn, Spawn, Post-Spawn, Pre-Summer, Summer Peak, Summer, Post-Summer, Turnover, Cold-Water, Cold or Frozen Water. Each of these periods are defined by a range of water temperatures. They even provide tables that estimate when these periods will occur in the calendar year based on your geographic location (Latitude). For each of these periods, they go into great detail about every aspect of that period…Most importantly, they teach you the techniques that will work to catch the fish. Â It’s really cool to learn about how these fish relate to different types of water, structure, and presentation throughout the year.
Al and Ron Lindner started In-fisherman to market the best Walleye Bait ever invented…The famous Lindy Rig. I will be writing many posts about how to use Lindy Rigs (Stay-Tuned for some cool tips). One of the fundamental things the Lindner’s wanted to do is develop a set of strategies that would literally allow them to go anywhere and target any species of fish and be successful. The Lindner’s have since sold In-Fisherman and started a new business called Angler’s Edge. For those of you who have followed them, these guys know how to catch fish.
